Wedding Film INFO
Here is some basic info that will help you get to know how I work and what exactly I do.
I filmed my first wedding in 2011 and have since filmed over two dozen others. I specialize in a filmic, cinematic style that feels like a movie. I get close to the action and emotion. I use camera movement to add depth and all the clips tell a creative story. I don't produce home-video films. There won't be any wasted space or long, boring clips. This won't be like your friend's smartphone video or your classic camcorder home video. I take my time, I plan my shots, I only use the best clips. I don't just slap together a bunch of clips in a row. Rather, I tell your story in a beautiful artistic montage.
If that is what you're looking for, then you've come to the right place.
I can produce any kind of film you'd like! I have some built-in packages, but if you're looking for something a little different, don't hesitate to ask. I am more than willing to change what I do to accommodate your desires. I am also more than willing to work with your budget to find the best solution for you. Typically, I produce highlight-reel and documentary-short style wedding films. I have little microphones that I like to hide on the bride, groom, and officiant in order to capture the best audio quality. I also like to stick with the bride & groom as much as possible throughout the coverage time so I can get the most footage with them as possible.
Because wedding filmmaking is not my full-time job, it will most likely take me 2-3 months to edit everything together after the wedding day. I can deliver the final film either digitally or on a USB drive.
I love to meet my clients before the big day! I like to get to know you and get a sense for your story together so I can know how to capture it on the day-of. Wedding days fly by FAST, so I like to do most of my thinking and question-asking before the day begins!
Feel free to check out my portfolio. This will give you a great idea of the kind of film I will produce for you. Of course, I am more than willing to modify my style and production to fit your desires as well. :)
For those interested, I shoot primarily on Canon DSLRs with tripods and stabilizers. I shoot a lot of closeups with a stabilizer and I do some wide shots with a tripod. I also have a lavalier and shotgun microphone that I use to capture audio. When I shoot higher-end productions, I rent nicer gear: typically a Canon C100, Panasonic GH4, or a Sony A7S II. I edit with Adobe CC. My final exports are in 1080p Full HD and I deliver using Dropbox online or via shipped USB flash drive, depending on your desire.
Please contact me if you're even just interested! I would love to connect over the the phone or at a coffee shop (if you're in Redding, CA). I would love to chat more about my services, filmmaking, and/or help you find the right package or service that's right for you, even if I refer you to someone else!
